Lost Bets are Sometimes Good

Ah the Rose Bowl.  My Alma Mater, University of Wisconsin.  I bet my friend Anne the Badgers would win, and they didn't.  So now I am making her a pair of socks.  I am eternally grateful she is a size 6.5!!  It's a good excuse to make socks for someone else.  :)

I'm making Brian some mittens, (2 strands of Patons Classic Wool, then felted).  They are moving along quickly.  I am still a little scared about hand-felting them.  My new washing machine has a lid lock on it, and that's no good.  I mean it's a great machine, just not for felting.

Got a wonderful package in the mail for my Sock Yarnista Club from Three Irish Girls today.  Beautiful yarn and a yummy GIANT caramel!  I love this club--if you are looking for a fun, reliable club full of beautiful yarn, this is the one!

Also got an absolutely beautiful birthday card from my dear friend Thora and a gift certificate to Loopy Ewe!  She knows just what to get me!  :):):)

Between my great mail day, and the kids going back to school after winter break, it has been a GREAT day.
